Who is Kitty Minge?

Kitty Minge is a bit of a rough diamond. Some say she's just rough. Born in the East End of London under the sound of Bow Bells 30-something years ago, Kitty was destined for an extraordinary life. With a surname that's another word for 'vagina', sex has, perhaps unsurprisingly, played an important part in her life. She's worked as a stripper, an escort for a low-class operation, a street hooker, a dominatrix in a high-class bordello, and was a low-budget porn queen in girl-on-girl movies.

Over the years she's crossed paths with some colourful characters including Fat Merle and Bucket Michelle, in a series of eyebrow-raising and toe-curling adventures. She and her friend Mavis Beaverbrock started up a second-hand sex toy business in the UK a few years ago, but when they got done by the Department of Hygiene, Kitty did a runner to Australia where she currently resides on a dodgy visa. She will turn her hand to most things to make ends meet, and is open to suggestions for ways to make her rich and famous.

But there's also another side to Kitty. One which sees her speak out against social injustices, come out on the side of the underdog and break stereotypes. To this end, she's done Gay Pride marches in high heels in support of femme lesbians, been chased by riot police during animal rights protests and mooned outside Buckingham Palace with an anti-monarchy group. With Annie Sprinkle as her role model, she took to feminism with a copy of The Female Eunuch in one hand and a whip in the other. An intelligent, vegan, omnisexual, trashy trollop, Kitty embraces political activism in big heels, sequins and glitter.

Kitty has performed her twisted version of stand-up comedy, comic monologues, observations on life and one-liners at a variety of events and venues in Sydney, including Gurlesque, Funny Farm, Sheila Autonomista Festival, Bifusion, a feminist trivia fundraiser and Green Kitten, as well as open mics at the Comedy Store, Pear Shaped Comedy, Rapid Fire Comedy and Mic in Hand. She's also a keen poet and entertains audiences of all sexual persuasions and kinks with original poems such as My Fabulous Cunt and My Friend Mavis: The Porn Star.

Kitty is available for promotions work involving sex toys and aids, providing the money's good and she gets lots of freebies - and for comedy gigs for open-minded audiences.
